Jim’s photography that finds images that come to life as Oil, Inks, Glass and Air interact and create a near infinite potential for images. In his photo studio Jim creates light experiments and to further understand light as it follow natural laws governing its travels. Consider a new way to think about photography - Inks moving inside a petri dish move based on their own chemical nature and airs blown through a glass straw. These delicate images are only 2-4 postage stamps across in original size. There are several Reds such as Akai, Pula, Nyekundu, and Galaxy Red to take a look at as sister images to this one.
Every print is produced on demand and is quality checked. Fine Art Lens prints on gallery grade paper and inks. We include a Certificate of Authenticity and Origin Story along with a hand signed note from the artist. Custom framing, matting and shipping for our signature series is performed by our partners at Work of Art Gallery in Miami. Metal prints are produced here in North Carolina. He uses a Canon EOS 5D Mark IV camera, typically a Canon 100mm Macro Lens and a Canon imagePROGRAF Pro-4100 printer. He works on his photography with Adobe products - Photoshop and Lightroom. For his stacking images, Jim uses Helicon software for select images and WeMacro hardware.
