to my journey towards a better self through art and meditation. For me stillness, solitude, and a sense of connectedness can be found within the process of creating artwork.

Our art, and we, are imperfect. Our ‘present moment Now’, is when we are in our best possible state. Acceptance of this simple fact brings happiness. Each of us carries evidence of our ability to overcome, thrive, to push through adversity.  

The overwhelming majority of my photographs use Oil, Inks, Glass and Air to create the image. This is a meditative process that demands stillness in all the contributors to the image acquisition: camera, table, floor and more remind me of how connected everything is when observed in a quiet mindset. I think about each photograph to be a coarse gem to be unearthed in the rough. Every image needs thought and attention throughout the curation, developing, polishing and matting and framing stages.

The magic moment is seeing the collector’s eye twinkle or the corner of a mouth lifts up into a smile, That is when I know they ‘get it’ and understand the work that went into the creation of the photograph print. Make an appointment I am glad to chat about your artwork interests
