Many of you have seen these photos in my social media posts and you were clear that these are favorites. All these photographs are created in a secret space no larger the ~4″ which you will come to understand and experience at our shows.
Resolving

The smooth illusion of tidal swells break up the monotony of expectation. The glossy strokes highlight the crests as they ripple with light and color then descend back into serenity.
This was captured in a petri dish with black and whites inks swirling and mixing together. The images are fleeting, ephemeral and quickly disappear. A squeeze, an embrace. The movement of boundaries inviting new angles and physical perspectives. Some merge and emerge as new shades, while others bend and remain, though stretched to a new orientation. A layered journey.

Glide over the tension as water strides on a pond. Take in the beauty of difference without breaking the surface, allowing each part to be what it is flowing into the whole. Each moment is structure and fragility as blues strive to explore their complexion.

Smooth sweeps of blue and white contrast a cluttered, golden confusion. The calmness of a broad stroke can be grounding amidst the chaotic shiny swirls of life. Turmoil requests resistance and the calm swells to accommodate it.
This was captured on a shard of broken glass lying at ~35 degrees which allowed the inks to flow wind around each other. The freedom to find their way created this wonderful photo that reminds me of the process within the earth’s crust of rock melting merging and morphing into a new state of being – transformational. Mint green bows the space between the hazy wander toward twilight and the graceful clash of human movement. A curvaceous signature, illuminating the murky refinement of vitality.
Broken glass lying at ~35 degrees allows inks to flow wind around each other. My muse pressed me to choose this color palette. I struggled with them at the start. Allowing myself to trust her and the artist process created a sublime set of photos. The agate and jade series are subtle, powerful statement of transformation. The turbulence of the vortex builds and descends into chaos. From order becomes structure which begets a swirl of colors and energy. Within a few seconds, this breaks down into orderly disorder.
Lying at at a shallow incline inks flow wind around each other. Gently blowing across the surface feathers the colors in a unimagined ways. Add the sister photographs Quasar Accretion Disk which occurs a split second beforehand. A powerful galactic force can be imagined as the accretion disk ejects new elements into the universe and a new state of being can exist. A thought, an idea spreading in a combustible fury, expanding out in a glowing explosion. Consuming or compounding what it travels upon, its branches aglow with incandescent majesty. React, or retract.
A one of kind print was captured in a petri dish as red and whites inks swirl while the patterns and visual textures evolve. The intense energy of this photograph is magnified by the large format paper print. The paper floats elevated above the matte creating a soft shadow that begins to constrain the energy. A heavy black wood shadow box frame contains the power of the photo and sharply defines where the art ends and your life touch on your wall.
